Founded in 2021 by İsmail Velioğlu, Ahmet Kotan, and Cem Kotanoğlu, the Turkey-based cybersecurity startup OctoXLabs has received an undisclosed investment led by Yapı Kredi FRWRD GSYF. The round also included Gelecek Etki GSYF, the Technology and Innovation Fund managed by Türkiye Kalkınma Fonu, TT Ventures GSYF, Finberg, and Maxis Ventures. Core Finance acted as the company’s investment advisor.

With digital transformation, one of the greatest challenges for organizations has been the disappearance of boundaries. The widespread use of cloud infrastructures, remote work, and artificial intelligence has carried employees, data, and systems beyond physical limits, expanding and complicating the attack surface. This has made threats more invisible and their management more difficult. In such an environment, the importance of “preventive cyber defense” strategies has grown, and one of the key components of this approach is CAASM (Cyber Asset Attack Surface Management) platforms.
